Sino-Canadian cooperative program "Research and Demonstration on Forestry Application of Advanced Polarization Technology", an inter-governmental international scientific and technological cooperation project by Ministry of Science.
The contract of this program was formally issued in October 2008. It's a cooperative program on forestry resources and environment between the institute and the Pacific Forestry Centre of Canadian Forest Service, which researches into forestry applications of polarization SAR data from the Canadian satellite Radarsat-2 and the development of processing software for polarization SAR. The project cycle is 2 years.
